No Airport Lines with ‘Global Entry’ for AmEx Travelers

Earlier this year, American Express® introduced a great perk for its Platinum® and Centurion® that is sure to continue into the new year.
Reimbursement for $100 processing fee for TSA’s Global Entry Program
Benefits (according to the US immigrations website):
*No queing for passport control checks
*No time consuming paper customs declaration form
*Expedited travel from the gare to the terminal exit
*Potential to use your Global Entry pass in other countries (i.e. Netherlands)
*Global Entry pass can be used at many of the leading US airports
*No lengthy customs and imigration questions
*No minimum number of international trips to qualify for the Global Entry program
While NEXUS and SENTRI members can already join the Global Entry program at no additional costs, American Express® has agreed to reimburse their Platinum® and Centurion® members for the $100.00 government application fee. No one, however, is exempt from TSA’s “thorough” application and interview process, which can take anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks to book and 2 to 8 weeks to process completely. We wouldn’t worry, though, since word has it that a Global Entry program interview with US borders officials will take no more than a couple of minutes, if you don’t show any red flags. And applicants can choose to be interviewed at the airport location most convenient to them.
Details for Reimbursement:
– Available for existing and new Platinum® and Centurion® members (Sorry, Gold® members!)
– Applicants will charge the processing fee to their card up front and go through TSA’s full application process before getting their $100.00 credited back to their account
